If you had to pick a time period to live in, which would you choose? Why?
Having 'visited' various periods in assorted living history work for a museum a few years ago and being a bit of a history nut there are a few periods I'd love to visit properly .
The prechristian Roman empire. But i'd definately want money and status. They were a complex, advances and diverse culture and despite how much we do know about them there are still so many questions I'd love to find answers to.
Britain during WWII, for my mind the point whne women really got out of the 'house and home' box and were never crammed back in again. From the land arm to factories to the Womens Auxilury Air Force women were a vital paet of the war effort. I know enough about the peroid to fit in pretty well so could probably get away with it.
I'd like to visit ancient Babylon to pay my respects to Ishtar in one of her temples.
You know I think I could enjoy just about any period.
